Betty Lee's voice is without any of the mannerisms associated with club singers. Yes, she remains within the song's sensitive framework and reliably interprets the tune, but offers it with an outstanding understanding of the style. She enriches the standards with their own sophistication but where required (as in
Björk's Bachelorette), she knows how to bite.

Betty Lee zní na albu bez jakýchkoliv manýr nightclubových zpěvaček. Ano, nepřekročí rámec citlivého a spolehlivého podání melodie, nicméně tu nabídne s mimořádným citem pro styl. Standardům dodá náležitou kultivovanost, tam kde je vhodné (například v Bachelorette od Björk), nasadí působivě kousavý rejstřík.
